Coronavirus Update #82
Thank You, Medicaid Eligibility, Reporting Requirements, Healthcare Heroes
“It was my care to make my life illustrious
not by words more than by deeds," Sophocles

Friends:

As long as we have traveled this road together I have thanked you for providing quality care to Marylanders in need. Today and going forward, I will continue to thank you. You are providing quality care to people in need as COVID-19 is targeting the people in you care. Don’t lose sight of this:

  • You are saving lives. Every death is sad. And more people are living than are dying.
  • Today, after the crisis, and going forward, we all will be known by our words and our deeds. We must all choose our words and act wisely.

I am optimistic about the new role and the leadership Col. Allely will bring to our sector’s critical work as Maryland’s Safety and Compliance Officer at this urgent time. As I said earlier, I think, hope and pray we have another month or so before we might catch a breather. During that breather there will be other urgent work as we prepare for a possible COVID-19 surge in the fall.  But in all things leadership, let’s focus on what we can do today to make a difference with our words and more importantly our deeds.

Be well,
Joe DeMattos
