THE USCAP 2020 ISSUE
The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology held their 109th annual meeting entitled "Eyes On You" from February 29-March 5 in Los Angeles, California. Louisville's finest attended and also made time to take part in the USCAP resident dinner held at LA's famous restaurant, The Palm. Guests included Dr. Khaled Alkhateeb, Dr. Mostafa Fraig, Dr. Nidal Almasri, Dr. Rana Almasri, Dr. Houda Alatassi, Dr. Samer Al-Quran, Dr. Eyas Hattab, Dr. Sarah Javidiparsijani, Dr. Mohammed Alghamdi and Dr. Hiba Al-Dallal. Dr. Hattab found time to kick back with USCAP Executive Vice President Dr. David Kaminsky and Bethany Phillips, MSA, Senior Staff Accountant. Dr. Hattab chairs the Finance Committee for USCAP as well as being a longtime member.
Jammin' at the Grammy's
The USCAP President Reception was held at the Grammy Museum across the street from the Staples Center. Dr. Hattab made a pit stop to marvel at Michael Jackson's sweet style! Ow!
Resident's Corner
Guess who presented posters at USCAP? Our very own residents, Dr. Soumya Jaladi and Dr. Hiba Al-Dallal! Soumya's title was RNA-seq Analysis of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors and Hiba's title was Utilizing Stat-Freeze Freezing Spray to Make Placental Membrane Rolls is an Effective and Faster Technique in Comparison to the Conventional Method.
