The Gift of a Catholic Education
Two classes - one with the most participation and one with the most dollars raised - will have a scholarship named after their class which will be awarded next school year to current SFD students. An alumni donor will make a $5,000 donation when the first 100 alumni donors participate in ALL in for SFD.

Fr. Mark Ghiloni, who taught at DeSales while he was Pastor at St. Anthony Parish, is retiring! All alumni who would like to send a card or letter to him in honor of this special occasion is invited to do so.

Class of 1970 and 1971 to Lead Procession

To celebrate the Class of 1971's Golden Reunion AND because members of the Class of 1970 could not join us last year in person, we will have both of these wonderful classes lead the Class of 2021 into Alumni Stadium for their Baccalaureate and Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 29 at 9am.

Prior to the ceremony, we invite members of '70 and '71 to join us for a continental breakfast beginning at 8am in the Sisters of St. Francis Student Services Center.

St. Francis DeSales High School's First Commencement Ceremony

As our school celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, we thought it would be fitting to share an article published about the first Graduation Ceremony. 115 students received their diplomas from His Excellency, the Most Reverend Clarence G. Issenmann, Bishop of Columbus. Valedictorian Joseph Saling and Salutatorian Patricia Weians both spoke on the ceremony's theme, "The Torch Has Been Passed."

Spiritual Reflection

Lord Jesus, if our baptism as Christians has incorporated us fully into your life, then we have a responsibility to act and speak as our Father does. You told us throughout the Easter season about your priorities. All too often they are not ours, and for this we ask forgiveness and assistance. We can’t become more fully like you all on our own. Please help us. Amen.
