March Bills to Reflect Rate Increase
The Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) has approved REC's request to modify and increase rates effective for electricity use billed on or after March 1.
Starting in March, the typical residential member using 1,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) per month will pay about $3.00 more, or about $125.10 in the non-summer months, about $6 more per month ($131.11) during the summer months, and back down to $125.10 beginning in October.
