State of Emergency Update to St. Tammany Chamber Members:

The Corona virus has caused our entire country to take drastic moves to protect all citizens, including limiting personal contact. Last Friday, our Parish President Mike Cooper declared a state of emergency in our parish.

Chamber Update
Therefore, effective today, Monday, March 16, and through Monday, April 13, the Chamber office is closed to all visitors. We will remain fully operational with staff present or working remotely and available by phone or email during regular office hours 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please dial 985-273-3001 or email info@sttammanychamber.org with any Chamber-related questions and the proper staff member will respond.

All committee meetings will be held virtually. The Finance Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday and the Small Business Council meeting is on Wednesday–both will be via conference call. Whatever can be done virtually will be in the interest of community safety.

In addition, we will be postponing all events for the next 30 days and will send updates as we know more.

In our efforts to keep you informed, it is likely that daily emails will be sent vs. our regular Chamber Events eblast sent on Tuesdays and Chamber Update eblast sent on Thursdays.

Although unprecedented, we will get through this with minimal impact on our member services.  Our mission includes serving as the voice of business and providing business support. In this emergency, it is our intention to focus on business support. We will be in close communication with our parish partners including St. Tammany Corporation and St. Tammany Tourist Commission as well as with our statewide and regional partners.

As always, we appreciate your trust in your Chamber.

Sincerely,
