This Week's Sermon:
"He Could See What Others Couldn't"
Mark 10:46-52

The blind Bartimaeus sat by the side of the road and cried out to Jesus; "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
He did not give up even when others told him to be quiet. What was it that this blind man could see that others could not?

Holiday Fair brings seasonal fun Nov. 13

Plan to attend the Holiday Fair on Saturday, November 13, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
This is the place to shop for unique gift items to give and something special for yourself!

The 2021 fair features jams and jellies, plated cookies and handcrafted items – all unique and homemade. Browsing is more fun when shared, so round up friends and family to join you.

The fair is presented by the church’s United Methodist Women and all funds raised go to support UMW programs and mission. There are many ways to volunteer.

Get your creative mojo going! There is still time to make and donate items. Just contact Lynn Bennett at bennett.lynn@gmail.com or 262-238-9916 to let her know what you are donating. Mark your calendar and plan to contribute cookies by dropping them off by noon on Thursday, Nov. 11.

Other volunteers are needed to help with set up on Friday (starting at 9:30 a.m.), package cookies on Thursday and Friday, and help with cleanup on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Let Katie Daniels know how you would like to pitch in by calling 414-750-1637.

WITH GOV. SCHREIBER
Hear him speak about his experience as an Alzheimer's caregiver

Saturday, November 6 - 8:30-10:00am
Fellowship Hall

Former Wisconsin Governor Martin Schreiber knows all too well the impact Alzheimer's disease can have on a family, as he has been a caregiver for a number of years for his beloved wife, Elaine. He shares his experiences in his book My Two Elaines and through appearances such as the one he will make at the UMC of Whitefish Bay in November. His charming, witty, personal observations are enlightening and heartwarming.

The first 30 people or couples to sign up with Anne in the church office will receive a free copy of My Two Elaines, which can be picked up prior to the event, if desired, or at the event itself (one book per couple, please). Copies also will be sold on November 6.

There is no cost to attend the event, though a freewill offering will be taken to help cover the cost of the continental breakfast. By signing-up in advance, you will help us adequately plan for breakfast. Feel free to invite friends, neighbors, and others who you know who would benefit from this informative event, and sign them up, too!
