Country Star Tony Booth loves to celebrate his birthday each year with good friends at Billy's Hall in Pearland. Lucky for us that means a lot of great country music by some of the best in the business. This year's party will be held on Sat., Feb. 1, from 7:30 pm to midnight, once again at Billy's Hall.

Joining Tony at the Birthday Bash will be Bobby Flores, Freddie Pate, and Brian Collins.  Local entertainers performing at the Birthday Bash are John Mark Davis, Missy Brown, Royce Melton, Shalane, Kari Hlavinka, Mary Dooley, and Dana Rowan. The Texas Express Band will feature Steve Palousek on steel; Harris Kubos on fiddle; Bobby Whitten on lead guitar; Tommy Reed on base; and, his son, Matt on drums.

Billy's Hall will serve its famous barbecue sandwiches and you can bring in your own snacks to make a party of it at your table. Bring your own beer and liquor; basic set-ups will be available. Learn more and reserve your tickets!

WEEKLY LAUGH
A guy in a taxi wanted to speak to the driver, so he leaned forward and tapped him on the shoulder. The driver screamed and yanked the wheel, jumping the curb and hitting a lamp post.

The startled passenger said, "I didn't mean to frighten you. I just wanted to ask you something."

The taxi driver replied, "It's not your fault, sir. It's my first day as a cab driver.  I've been driving a hearse for 25 years."
