Chamber Auction is June 22

The Chamber will be hosting a live and silent auction on Wednesday, June 22, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM, at Rock Harbor Tap Room on 5 Payne Avenue in Rockland. Auctioneer Bruce Gamage will lead the live auction. This event is open to the public!

Tickets are $10 per person in advance; $15 per person at the door. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and drinks will be available for purchase. Proceeds from this auction will support the Chamber's economic development and tourism promotion activities.

Bid Farewell to Tom Peaco
The Chamber Auction will also serve as a send-off for outgoing Chamber President & CEO, Tom Peaco, who is leaving the post on June 30. Everyone is invited to come bid farewell to Tom.

Chamber Board Appoints Page as Interim CEO

The Board of Directors of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce has appointed Gordon Page of Owls Head to the role of Interim President & CEO. This appointment follows the recent announcement from Chamber President & CEO Tom Peaco that he will be leaving that post effective June 30 to become the President & CEO of the University of Maine Alumni Association.

Page will assume his part-time responsibilities immediately to provide some overlap before Peaco’s departure, and will serve until a permanent replacement is selected and begins work. The Chamber board has formed a CEO Search Committee which is already actively at work, and expects to formally post the position publicly soon. More
CEO Search Committee Appointed
Chamber Board Chair Sheila Lowe has appointed the following individuals to a CEO Search Committee to lead the search for Tom's successor: Co-Chairs of the CEO Search Committee are Chamber board members Diane Lebson of Evergreen Philanthropic Solutions, and Jake Miller of First National Bank. Other committee members include Chamber board members Jeff Hamilton of JA Hamilton Consulting, Sandy Cox of The New England Real Estate Company, and Jodie Heal of Heal Accounting, and former Chamber board member John Viehman of United Midcoast Charities.

The CEO Search Committee has already held its first meeting, and anticipates formally advertising the position soon.

For just $225/year, your rack card will be displayed in both locations! We currently have 2 slots open in Kittery and Yarmouth, available now on a first come, first served basis.

Rockcoast Networkers Presents: Learn our “Our Secrets to Success: Part 2 – Investing in your Business in 2022”
Rockcoast Networkers will be hosting its next “Business Connect” on June 16 at the Rock Harbor Tap Room located at 5 Payne Road in Rockland. Golden Eagles and Nautical Folk Art at the Camden Library
Now through July 28, a golden glow will radiate from the Camden Public Library’s Picker Room Gallery. The public is invited to view a show of gilded carvings by acclaimed artist William Francis Brown. The exhibit will display a sampling of Brown’s award-winning folk art, with a focus on his carvings in the iconic style of 19th century carver, John Haley Bellamy of Kittery, Maine. Five Town CSD is offering the Blended OUPV Course using Captain School Key West’s Learning Management System, charts, navigation tools, and the USCG-approved and accepted test, with the option to continue on to the Master’s Level.
