Search Funds – Expediting the Path to Becoming an Owner/CEO
Learn about search funds and the search fund ecosystem by hearing from a successful searcher, an investor, and an active searcher. A search fund is an entrepreneurial path undertaken by one or two individuals (the “searchers”) who form an investment vehicle with a small group of aligned investors, some of whom become mentors, in order to search for, acquire, and lead a privately held company for the medium to long term, typically six to ten years. When successful, this has resulted in a relatively fast path to becoming an owner-CEO, attractive financial returns for both investors and searchers, and growing, well-run enterprises.

Dan Doud, Managing Partner, Bondcliff Partners
Paul (Lew) Davies, Managing Principal, The Cambria Group
Open to FEI Dallas Chapter members, members of other FEI Chapters, and non-members with financial or executive roles in the Private Equity sector

Value of SOC 2 Reporting to Mitigate Cyber-risk
Most technology companies need Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 audits, regardless of their line of service, because they use, store, process, or maintain data on behalf of their customers or business partners.
In 2020 alone, the number of SOC 2 examinations performed increased by 49%, according to a survey from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)—and it’s anticipated to keep rising as security concerns related to new IT products and services in the cloud continue to grow.
Join us for our webcast to learn key benefits of a SOC 2 examination. We’ll cover the SOC 2 audit procedures, how to determine if a SOC 2 audit is right for your organization, and the following topics:
– Reasons to perform a SOC 2 examination
– Overview of SOC 2 examinations and how they can mitigate cyber-risk
– How your organization can achieve and maintain a SOC report
– SOC 2 best practices
