Work on 'A Better Red'  at Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport station continues

Construction on a MAX operator breakroom at the Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport station is scheduled to begin next week as part of TriMet’s A Better Red project.

TriMet is extending the MAX Red Line west to serve 10 more stations, ending at the Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport station. Work at the station includes building a new walkway and breakroom.

Construction is taking place inside the fenced staging area at the station and along existing track. Work is expected to be finished at the same time as projects taking place at the Gateway and Portland Airport stations in early 2024.

Be prepared for an eight-day service disruption expected in October. Shuttle busses will replace trains as work takes place around the clock. More information will be available in advance, and neighbors will be told about any nighttime construction.
