WALK FOR LIFE
It's almost time for the annual Walk for Life event to raise money to support ALS research. We have a personal connection to ALS as Peninsula High graduate, Eric Stevens, is battling this dreaded disease. If you are interested in being a Walk for Life ambassador, sign up here. The first mandatory meeting for the ambassadors is TODAY at lunchtime. You need to sign up first to receive the link to the meeting.
SING OUT
Always wanted to sing, but terrified to audition? Here's your chance-due to the pandemic, all students are welcome to sign up for choir without an audition. You may sign up for Chamber Choir, Women's Treble Choir, or Chamber/Jazz Chorale and Mr. Doctor will work with you to secure your spot. Email him at [email protected] with questions.
CARD DRIVE
Create handmade cards or fill out premade cards for local hospital healthcare workers and patients. You may fill them with a note of thanks for the workers and/or "thinking of you" message for patients. Sponsored by Service Learning Leadership, there will be drop boxes in front of the gym TODAY through Friday, Feb. 19 for you to leave your cards. Email [email protected] with questions.
WALK FOR LIFE T-SHIRT CONTEST
Walk for Life will look different this year, but the Walk for Life tee shirts with a student created design on the front will still be distributed to participants. Please submit your designs [email protected] by this Friday, Feb. 19. The design must be at least 300 DPI and include the following: PVPHS Walk for Life 2021 Benefitting ALS as well as the hashtag #AxeALS. Use blue or black in your design as the tee shirts are white. No hand drawn submissions will be accepted; graphic design programs like Adobe Illustrator are best.
