The Most Important Thing:
Surviving This Crisis with All Our Loved Ones
As we think about how daily life is going to be different from this point on, it's important that we remain focused on the task at hand, which is making sure we make it through this crisis with all our loved ones alive and healthy. Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez shares his thoughts in this brief video .
Frequent Hand-Washing Will be a
Big Part of the "New Normal"
If it's possible that anything good can come of this crisis, it may be the education we've all received about the critical importance of frequent hand-washing. Just as handshaking is now a thing of the past (what were we thinking, grabbing each other's hands??), regular hand-washing to prevent the spread of all kinds of pathogens is now recognized as an important part of living a healthy lifestyle.
Have You Been Counted Yet?
There's Still Time to Complete the 2020 Census
OK, MoVal, it's time to stand up and be counted! The 2020 federal Census is taking place right now. The results will affect the amount of federal funding Moreno Valley will receive for the next 10 years, and when the Covid-19 crisis eventually wanes, the need for federal funding will be greater than ever. That's why all residents should take advantage of the statewide stay-at-home order and complete the Census . It's being taken primarily online at  www.census.gov , but it can also be completed by phone or on paper.

The Census does NOT include questions about citizenship or immigration status. And none of the personally identifiable information collected by the Census Bureau may be shared with any other government agency or private-sector entity, such as landlords.
