Join us for a night of fun...Socrates Got Talent 2020...Friday, March 6th starting at 6pm. Socrates scholars will showcase their many talents. Cost of admission is a new or used picture book. All donations will be going to Promising Pages!

8th Grade DC Trip
All parents and students who are attended the DC trip will need to attend the meeting this coming Monday, the 9th at 5:30 pm. in the Middle School Language Lab.
Parents are urged to order shirts quickly so we can meet the printer deadlines and have our shirts for the DC trip!

3D Printing in the Classroom
Thanks to our
PFI,
we have a now 3D printer. This video-short shows just one of the ways we are starting to teach scholars about new technology.

Book Delivery Needed
We have LOTS of books to take to Promising Pages on Monday. We need volunteers to help pack up the books and travel to Promising Pages to deliver them. Volunteers should arrive at 9 am in the Couchell Building.

at the Closet! It’s a fun and easy way to reach your 36 hours.
Do you need logo patches for your scholar’s shirts? Here’s what you need to know:
Heat Press Patches
Please bring any uniform shirts that require heat press patches to the Uniform Closet with you.
The patches must be applied at the Uniform Closet, as they require the use of a heat press machine.
Payment will be required when the shirts are
dropped off
at the Closet. The cost is $4.00 each and you may pay with
CHECK OR CASH ONLY
at this time. If you provide us with your scholar’s home base teacher name and grade, we will be able to send your order home with your scholar upon completion. We do our best to complete orders promptly, but please allow 4 to 7 days.
Embroidered Patches
The Uniform Closet also sells embroidered patches, at a cost of $5.00 each.
The embroidered patches cannot be applied by the Uniform Closet.
The embroidered patches will need to be sewn on to jackets, sweaters, jumpers, etc.

Spirit Night with the Charlotte Checkers
Spirit Night at the Charlotte Checkers game is a little over two weeks away (Saturday, March 14
th). This is an excellent time for us to come together as a Socrates Academy community while also raising funds that will go back to our scholars. Middle school students who attend the game will also receive a “dress down day” pass. And, the student who has the most family and friends to purchase tickets will receive an additional “dress down day” pass. We hope to see you there for this exciting event!
