Municipal Court Week
Municipal Court Week is November 4 through 9 and is an opportunity to recognize municipal courts and the people who work in the courts. The goal of Lakeway's Municipal Court is to provide a neutral, courteous, and fair forum for the trial of all Class C misdemeanor offenses arising under Texas civil and criminal statutes and city ordinances. The judges of this Court are appointed by City Council to preserve, protect and defend the United States Constitution and the laws of Texas. Veteran's Day Ceremony to Honor Our Heroes on November 11
Nine new names were recently engraved on the Spirit of Freedom Monument in Heritage Park at 963 Lohmans Crossing Road. The monument honors those residents who served in the armed forces. The City of Lakeway will pay tribute to those nine veterans at a special Veteran's Day Ceremony on November 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lake Travis Performing Arts Center (3324 RM 620 South). Veterans, their families and the public are invited to come together to honor those who served our country.

Date Correction for Wildlife Open House Meetings
Two Wildlife Open House Meetings will be held on November 14 and November 15. In our previous newsletter the first date was incorrect, however, the Wildlife Advisory Committee Regular Meeting will still take place on November 7 at 6:30 p.m at City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing.

If you would like to learn more about Lakeway wildlife, please attend one of our Open House Meetings either on Thursday, November 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or Friday, November 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Both open houses will be held at the Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek and both will have the same information. We welcome your feedback at these events.
NEW: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

The Lakeway Players will kick off the holiday season with a riotous comedy called "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" by Barbara Robinson at the Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). This show is for adults who love a good comedy, and includes music, dancing and carols. On November 7th, 8th and 9th, doors will open at 6:30 p.m with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per person. On November 10th there will be a special $20 matinee. The show will start at 3:00 p.m. this day with theater seating only. Wear your best holiday sweater to win prizes! NEW: November Blood Drive

The next Lakeway Community Blood Drive will be on Saturday, November 16 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). Your donation is needed and appreciated! To schedule an appointment or for information, contact the coordinators at [email protected] or visit weareblood.org. The We Are Blood website also includes useful information regarding eligibility and answers to other frequently asked questions. To be eligible, donors need to be in generally good health, at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds or more. Photo identification is required. Organizers recommend donors eat a good meal and drink plenty of liquids beforehand.
