Covid-19 Transplant Resource Website Launch

As the world continues its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Transplant Life Foundation is committed to doing our part to support the transplant community. We are proud to share that we have partnered with a number of our fellow transplant advocacy non-profit organizations to develop a resource hub to help the transplant community navigate life in a COVID-19 world.

This hub was launched out of a clear and pressing need for support, connection, and dissemination of scientifically sound information. Within this resource you will find FAQs, financial and access support, mental health support, and beyond. You can visit the COVID-19 Transplant Resource here.

Note: The development of this COVID-19 Resource Center has been supported by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
World Transplant Games 5K AnyWay

The 2021 World Transplant Games, previously scheduled to take place in Houston, TX next May, were disappointingly cancelled due to the global pandemic, and out of concern for the safety of participants. However, the World Games Local Organizing Committee has found a creative way to put on an alternative, virtual event, entitled 5K AnyWay. This virtual event will take place May 28 – June 5, 2021 with participants completing their 3.1 miles anyway they choose – it’s a 5K AnyWay!

All donations raised from the #5KAnyWay event will go towards children waiting for a life-saving organ transplant or to help transplanted youth become active through the award-winning “Fit for Life” global program.

Help raise awareness about the importance of donation and transplantation.

TransplantNATION Magazine

Transplant Life Foundation is thrilled to be completing its second year of publishing TransplantNATION magazine. Look for the last issue of Volume 2 to arrive in mailboxes in the next few weeks. We have received extremely positive feedback on the magazine over the last few years. TransplantNATION has been a great resource for those in our community navigating through donation and transplant, and trying to stay up-to-date on current donation and transplant news.

Thank you to all who have supported TransplantNATION through subscription and editorial contributions. The magazine not only provides our community with inspirational stories, news of medical advances, and information on a wide variety of donation and transplant topics, but it also helps build awareness and keeps all exposed to it, focused on the impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Help us inform and save lives.

Passages

TransplantNATION magazine’s Passages page pays tribute to many milestones reached by individuals in our community. We intend to share news of births, marriages, anniversaries, transplant anniversaries, deaths, and any other significant announcements that celebrate the gift of life or acknowledge the support an individual(s) has given to the organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation world.

If you have a tribute you would like to share in an upcoming Passages page, please send your information (75 words or less) to Josh Sweedyk at

Transplant Life Foundation and Transplant Games of America would like to thank you for your support of our mission. The work that we do to educate the public and bring awareness about donation and transplantation would not be possible without your help and commitment.
