Peninsula Cross Country Update

On Thursday, the cross-country team traveled down the hill for their first of two Bay League cluster meets at the Peninsula/PV High School cross-country course in Lunada Bay. Junior Aishling Callanan smashed a seven-year-old course record on the historic (and gruelingly difficult) course, winning the girls' varsity race with a time of 18:23. The varsity girls finished in fourth place overall, third in JV, and second in the freshman race, with freshman standout Natalie Tom taking second in her event.

For the boys, Senior Connor Spencer led the varsity squad with his 10th-place finish in 17:08. The varsity boys finished fourth as a team, while JV placed third, and the freshman boys took second—Rocco Kuykendall was the top Pen freshman, placing sixth in his race.

Congratulations to all of our runners and a huge shout out to junior Aishling Callanan (pictured above) for her outstanding performance.
