Dear Archway Families,
As you saw in Erik’s weekly communication on Wednesday evening, we have decided to form a partnership with Premier Lab Solutions to provide exclusive access to COVID-19 testing for all our communities. This resource is available to faculty, staff, students, and their families.

This weekend we are offering a chance for you and members of your household to come to our campus and get tested. While this testing is optional, I am reaching out to personally request that you participate. By participating, you are helping us collect more accurate data around infections rates in our community. This access to knowledge empowers us to take a more proactive role in being able to determine if it is safe to reopen and to detect and contain cases early, which helps to reduce the risk to our campus when we reopen. Though this testing and data does not guarantee a completely risk-free environment, it is part of our multi-layered approach to protection for our school. We are offering this testing over a two-day period in hopes of getting as close to 100% participation as possible.

The test that will be administered is the PCR anterior nares test, which is non-invasive and quick. Tests will be processed at Premier’s local lab with results provided to a personalized and private patient portal no more than 72 hours after given.

Please click here to access the testing resource document and be able to pre-register for testing. I would recommend pre-registering so that the day-of process at the testing location will be as quick as possible for you. Pre-registration needs to be completed by 9:00 PM this evening.

If you have any questions regarding the testing, please contact Premier Lab solutions via phone at 602-441-2808 or via email at greathearts@premierlabsolutions.com. Should you have any other questions outside of that, do not hesitate to reach out.

In Partnership,

Geri Parker, Headmaster

STAYING CONNECTED
·        Zoom indicates a “classroom session” should take about 1.5 mbps (upload and download).
·        Other video experts suggest allowing for 5 mbps per synchronous session
·        Your internet service provider should be able to tell you how much bandwidth you have coming to your home. Be sure to let them know that you need to know download and upload speeds.
o   Armed with this information you can determine if you need to request an increase in bandwidth from your carrier. Be sure to ask them how long it will take before you can use the additional bandwidth.
·        We encourage that all other internet traffic in the home be minimize during the teachers zoom sessions with their students (e.g., TV, other devices that may be streaming video).
