In this webinar session, the app co-creator, Barry Blumenfeld, and Ana Nery Fragoso, Director of Dance, Office of Arts and Special Projects at New York City Department of Education, offer a tutorial on how to use the Dancemaker App as both a teacher and as a student, followed by a sharing of curriculum created by Ana that utilizes the app. The Dancemaker App was created by the Dance Education Lab of the 92nd St Y to encourage dance making using the principles of Laban Movement Analysis. The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to advancing dance education centered in the arts.  NDEO provides the dance educators a network of resources, support and standards, a base for advocacy and research, and access to professional development opportunities that focus on the importance of dance in the human experience. You will find NDEO members in a variety of environments including, but not limited to, dance studios, K-12 schools, colleges, performing arts organizations, and community centers.
