Pray with Lutheran women across the church every Tuesday at noon
As a community of women ... we are coming together in prayer. Join Lutheran women across the church every Tuesday at noon as we practice social distancing during this pandemic. Click into the story and download the one-page prayer resource. Share it broadly.
Monthly devotion: Honor those who care for us
My mother was a registered nurse. She wore a uniform to work--a crisp white dress, white shoes and stockings, a starched white cap with a black velvet ribbon on it, and a little gold pin with some Latin words on it. (We kids thought Mom looked beautiful in her white uniform.) Mom was proud of her profession, and she was good at it too. May is National Nurses Month. Read the monthly devotion.
Stay connected with your group through virtual Bible studies
The bold women’s group at Pilgrim are determined to meet virtually during the COVID-19 global pandemic that has led their congregation and all most places to close their doors temporarily, says Renee Studemann, the group’s leader.

Studemann said that because Gather has a special offer for new subscribers, she can extend the invitation to other women in her congregation. “Our women have developed a great relationship because of Gather magazine.” Read the story.
Observe Rachel's Day May 3
Rachel’s Day is observed by Women of the ELCA annually on the first Sunday in May, though it can be observed any time of the year. Read a blog about Rachel's Day , a time set aside to mourn the loss of our children and to renounce the forces of violence and fear. The Rachel’s Day resource includes a litany for use in a special Rachel’s Day service. For other free resources, visit welca.org/resources .
Supporting Women of the ELCA while social distancing
Even if we aren't able to gather in person right now as we've always loved to do, we can still support Women of the ELCA as we've always loved to do. Here are some easy ways to do that – online!

Thankofferings. Make your Thankofferings online via credit or debit card at welca.org/donate.

Where Needed Most. You can also support the churchwide women's organization "Where Needed Most" at welca.org/donate.

Faithful Friends. Even better, you can sign up online to give by credit or debit card every month, automatically. Recurring giving through Faithful Friends is really powerful! Sign up online at welca.org/faithfulfriendsonline.

You can also support your churchwide women's organization by mail. Please make out your check to Women of the ELCA and write "Where Needed Most" or "Thankoffering" on the memo line.
