Town Hall: Solid Waste Agreement & Police Waterfront Address Ordinance

Options for COVID-19 Vaccination

The Village of Key Biscayne and Key Biscayne Community Center are working with the Key Biscayne Community Foundation to assist our community’s seniors with appointments to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The Community Center and Foundation are keeping a list of seniors who need transportation assistance and pairing them with volunteers to drive seniors to their appointments, to sign-up for a vaccine (once available) visit vaccinatekb.com.

Village of Key Biscayne staff remains in communication with the Florida Department of Health regarding the state’s rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines and is logistically prepared to offer vaccines to residents, per the state's guidelines, should vaccinations become available.


Miami-Dade County now offers a pre-registration system to allow eligible individuals interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at Miami-Dade County-run locations to complete a one-time registration, via the phone or online. Eligible registrants will be contacted by the Program as vaccine supply becomes available at sites in Miami-Dade County. Complete your pre-registration online or call 305-614-2014


  • Hard Rock Stadium and Marlins Park (stadium) are each is currently taking 1,000 appointments per day. To register, call 1-888-499-0840 or 1-888-256-8918 (TTY).
  • Jackson Health System has an online appointment portal for individuals to be able to book an appointment when vaccines and times become available. New appointments are available but on an extremely limited basis.
  • Select Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program on Feb. 12, 2021.

Key Biscayne Residents Have Options for COVID-19 Testing

The Village of Key Biscayne has partnered with Curative Inc. to offer a COVID-19 testing kiosk at the southeast corner of the Village Green (by the public restrooms) and mobile testing van in Calusa Park.

 

The kiosk and van are operational from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., six days a week (Monday through Saturday). These sites offer oral-fluid swab testing to test for COVID-19. The self-service kiosk and van allow individuals to conduct the oral swab themselves for a more comfortable and painless experience. The sample collection process can be viewed here.

 

Curative offers patients this complimentary service that is billed via the individual’s health insurance or subsided by the federal CARES Act. Patients can sign-up for testing in advance by visiting the Curative website or on-site.


Additionally, drive-through testing at the Key Biscayne Community Center remains available 2-days per week by appointment only and is self-pay. The COVID-19 self-pay cost at the drive-through testing is $85 and registration is available on the Key Biscayne Community Foundation website. Dates are subject to change, please confirm your date and time when making your appointment.

 

Additional testing options include the Baptist Health Urgent Care Express located at 240 Crandon Blvd. Suite #110; CVS Pharmacy located at 726 Crandon Blvd; and Ethos Wellness Pharmacy, located at 260 Crandon Blvd C33.

Stormwater Maintenance

The company All Webbs has been contracted by the Village to clean stormwater wells, which helps maintain their capacity during rain events. Please expect workers to be around street drains from 8 am to 5 pm in at the following locations:

  • Tuesday, Feb 16 to Friday, Feb 19 at 164 W Mashta
  • Monday, Feb 22 to Thursday, Feb 25 244 W Mashta
  • Monday, March 1 to Thursday, March, 4 at 700 Harbor Dr
