Dangers of Skate Blades Reinforced by Two Scary Incidents

The New York Islanders' Cal Clutterbuck needed surgery after he was cut on the wrist and Ontario Hockey League goaltender Tucker Tynan needed surgery after he was cut on the leg.

Smaller Canadian Retailers

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) said showrooming is hurting smaller retailers but is also particularly prevalent in sporting goods stores. A Nova Scotia resident said he would shop at an independent hockey shop if there was one in his community.

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) and Bauer extended their partnership for five years. Bauer has been the official equipment supplier of the 27-team junior league since 2016.

The collaboration for the purchase of hockey equipment by U.S. hockey dealers between HDA, the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) and Sports Distributors of Canada (SDC) continues to grow.

 

Click here to learn more about the collaboration and to fill out an inquiry form to start the process. Members of the collaboration have access to a variety of products and discounts to help boost the bottom line.

 

There is no obligation to complete the form. Criteria used by SDC to determine participation may include a minimum sales volume of $200,000 in annual wholesale hockey products, credit rating, proximity to existing members and meeting certain store standards.

 

Did you know?

The youngest player in NHL history is Bep Guidolin, who was 16 years and 11 months old when he debuted for the Boston Bruins in 1942. Guidolin also played with the Red Wings and Blackhawks in his nine-year NHL career.
