President's Message

We are coming off another fantastic year! A big part of this success is due to the solid core staff we are building. To illustrate this, in the fall of 2015, when we took over we had only two returning staff! This year we have an awesome team returning. Ariel who just did an amazing job with the kids is coming back. Victoria who pretty much runs the ranch will be back in the ranch office. Cowboy Steve, the heart of the ranch, will be back in the saddle. Wendy will be back running things at the barn again. Cathie and Caroline in housekeeping will be returning. William who does an outstanding job on fences and trails is returning. Paul our Yoga instructor and Dallas in the lodge are also coming back. Kim will be cooking up her famous ranch meals again this year. Plus there are other familiar faces who will be back.

With the increased business we have the resources for capital improvements for 2020. We have just placed an order for new mattresses for every single cabin. And guests will be happy to hear we are renovating the bath house. We even bought a specially equipped boat for the serious fisherman in the family. But the biggest news is that the Ranch will be doing a major expansion of our riding herd. They have already started to arrive. Guests returning this year will have more then 24 new horses to meet and greet.

Special thanks to all the guests who come back year after year. Also, thanks to the new generation of riders who are discovering the ranch for the first time!

Wrangler Report

Winter has set in at the ranch. The horses are happily munching away on our high protein hay we brought all the way down from the Peace River area. Will and Steve do a daily wellness check on both our turned out herd and our seniors who have stayed in for some extra TLC. They have several heated water troughs that are topped up daily to provide fresh water. This helps to decrease the chances of winter colic. With thick winter coats and lots of snug treed shelter area, the herd is enjoying their winter holiday.

Meet Our New Horses

Constellation is a 12 year old mare that has joined our herd from up in Prince George. She has spent the last 6 years as a kids horse and will now spend the summers taking our beginner and young riders out on our trails.

Buster is a 20 year old gelding who is very gentle and steady. He is the perfect mount for the nervous young rider who needs some more confidence.

Lunna is a 17 year old paint mare who came to the ranch with her buddy, Buster. She is well trained and is currently out in the herd with Buster and is making new friends.
