A WEEK WITH BIA-LAV
Membership-wide Meeting & Economic Outlook
This week BIA-LAV held its first Membership-wide Board Meeting followed by a "Housing and the Economy" Economic Outlook presentation. Since the start of COVID-19, and recent BIA changes, we wanted members to have a forum to hear from BIA-LAV and BIASC leadership, while getting an update on Chapter and regional activity!

BIA-LAV guest speaker, prominent economist, Dr. Richard K. Green from the University of Southern California, closed out the meeting with an economic outlook and the impacts that COVID-19 has had on real estate and the housing market. 
ADVOCACY IN ACTION
BIA-LAV Hosts City of Lancaster Roundtable
On Monday, BIA-LAV Los Angeles County Committee members met with Lancaster City Manager Jason Caudle, Community Development Manager Larissa De La Cruz and City Engineer Trolis Nieblag. BIA-LAV members received information on City operations during COVID-19, development opportunities and other housing updates. Members were able to ask questions about the development process and share feedback on their individual projects. Learn about our LA County Committee here.

Board Member of the Week!
This week, we want to recognize BIA-LAV Board member, Karl Mallick of David Evans & Associates! Karl has been a longtime BIA member and Co-Chairs the BIA-LAV Trap Shoot Committee. David Evens & Associates is the civil engineering firm working on the new Los Angeles SoFi Stadium as part of the stadium project team. We are lucky to have Karl’s support and dedication on our Board – thank you Karl!
