I need to shout above the chaos of this instant to say something so important:
THANK GOD for every single one of you and everything you’ve done. Every single volunteer, every single organizer, every single member of our amazing volunteer staff, every single donor. It’s now clear that WE FLIPPED THE SENATE. We’ll now have our first-ever Black senator from Georgia, and our first Jewish and Millennial senator from Georgia. MIND BLOWN.
That is primarily because of Stacey Abrams and many other organizers of color in Georgia who worked for decades, through elections that they lost, and lost, and lost.
And then won.
And it is our victory too, the victory of every single one of you who put in a shift or a few shifts or four full years of your lives. Every single thing you did mattered. Together, we did something impossible — we won two Democratic Senate seats in Georgia. In a runoff. UNREAL.
In 2018, we flipped the House. In 2020, we flipped the White House. And two days ago we flipped the Senate too.
Because you reached out to so many people, found so many good-hearted ones, and turned them into educated voters, Joe and Kamala will now be able to pass laws, secure their cabinet nominations, confirm judges, and make progress that will last generations.
As far as yesterday’s moronic coup attempt by Trump’s Treason Zombies, it makes me even more grateful that we’ve won the Senate. We’re going to need it. Because of what you did, America will soon have a chance to heal. Let that buoy you through these 13 days before the Inauguration.
So, so, so much love to all of you. I can't believe I get to say this again: you just saved the world!
