Volunteers Needed, Updates on Progress
A very happy new year to YOU! We look forward to working with the Magnolia community to improve our neighborhood’s look and feel. Together, we will make our community a wonderful place to shop, dine, and spend time enjoying friends and family. Kick off the new year by  making a donation  to the Magnolia Beautification Project – let’s keep the momentum going and invest in our neighborhood – it is a gift that will keep on giving for decades to come!
Updates on Magnolia Beautification Project’s Phase I implementation
Excitement reigns as key elements of the Magnolia Beautification Project’s first phase gets fully underway. The Magnolia Beautification committee has selected sturdy and attractive bistro tables and chairs that will be paid for by the Neighborhood Matching Fund, which is a part of the grant awarded to the project from the  Seattle Department of Neighborhoods . The matching grant was awarded in late 2019 and is an integral part of the funding for the anticipated improvements all aimed at making Magnolia Village more attractive, engaging and safe for residents and visitors alike. Over the next several months, watch for a number of new features being added to Magnolia Village, including the installation of new poles for hanging flower baskets and seasonal banners.
Calling All Volunteers – Lend your Time and Talents!

The Magnolia Beautification committee needs YOU to lend a hand in making our existing green benches look gleaming and welcoming. Specifically, the committee is seeking volunteers for the following activity:

  • Cleaning the bronze plaques that recognize donors. The existing green benches have beautiful bronze plaques that have recently been removed to ready the benches for repainting. These commemorative plaques, honoring those donors who originally invested in the benches, need to be cleaned and restored to their original brilliance. If you are interested in helping spruce up the plaques, please contact Cheryl McQuiston at cherylMBC@outlook.com or by phone at 206-390-8698
June 6– Save the Date “Celebrating the Reveal”

More details to come, but plan on joining us in the heart of the Village and revel in the attractiveness, pride, and new image for one of the neighborhood’s core business districts.
