Successful Exit: SC Launch Inc. Portfolio Company Green River Spirits Co. Acquired

Kentucky-based Bardstown Bourbon Co., a distiller, producer and bottler of premium Kentucky bourbon and rye whiskey, has entered into an agreement to acquire Green River Spirits Co., an SC Launch Inc. Portfolio Company.

The acquisition is scheduled to close in July, subject to customary closing approvals and conditions, according to a news release from Bardstown Bourbon Co. The transaction will bring together two leading Kentucky bourbon producers into an independent spirits company with a commitment to Kentucky whiskey, the release stated. Read more.

Home Telecom Recognized for IPF Contribution at SCRA Networking Coffee

SCRA hosted a Networking Coffee at the Applied Technologies Center in Summerville on Thursday, July 14. Attendees had the opportunity to network with fellow innovation ecosystem participants. SCRA also acknowledged a major Industry Partnership Fund (IPF) contributor, Home Telecom, based in Moncks Corner, and its CEO, Will Helmly. A grant made by SCRA to LifeTagger, an innovation company based in Ladson, SC, was named for Home Telecom in recognition of their significant IPF contribution.

Rymedi was integral throughout the past several years as part of the University’s return-to-class and return-to-play strategies stemming from the ongoing pandemic. Rymedi built the technology platform that organized and communicated testing results for thousands on campus and in the local community. This effort enabled more than one million PCR COVID-19 tests on Clemson’s campus and thousands more within athletics to better provide a safe opportunity to compete. Read more.
