1/23 - Renewable Gas 360
  • The Renewable Gas 360 (formerly Rethink Methane) conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento. Topics will include building markets for dead trees to reduce wildfire risk, building markets for renewable hydrogen, reducing short-lived climate pollutants, managing overburdened landfills and methane capture.

4/13 - Green Technology Summit and Expo
  • The 2020 Green Technology Summit and Expo will be held in the Tacoma Convention Center on April 13 – 15. This year’s event will be combined with the US EPA’s West Coast Collaborative Partner’s Meeting, and will include fleet focused sessions on technician training, regulatory policies, vehicle, engine and fuel technology developments, and the future of mobility.

Increase In 45MPG Cars
From model year (MY) 2000 to MY 2019, the number of gasoline vehicle models achieving an EPA rating of 45mpg or greater increased from one model to eight models. With the new California state regulation, none of these will be eligible for purchase by state agency fleets.

California Toughens Vehicle Purchasing Regulations
The California State Department of General Services (DGS) has announced that the state will no longer purchase any sedans powered solely by a gasoline engine, and beginning 1/1/2020, DGS will only allow the purchase of vehicles manufactured by OEMs that recognize California's authority to set GHG and ZEV emission standards.
