Robert Vasquez - New Chapter Commander for 2020-2021

Our elected Chapter Commander Jon Lunkwicz passed away on Jan 9, 2021. Jon organized Chapter 1513 in 2013 and was it's first Member. Jon grew the membership from 12 charter members to over 450 members in 6 years. Jon was serving as Chapter Commander 2020 - 2021. To ensure the slot is filled Chapter Senior Vice Commander has stepped up.

Robert Vasquez will serve the remaining time in office as Chapter 1513 Commander. Robert is married, and his wife Cassie, and children are all Associate Members of the Order.

Female Purple Heart Recipients Sought For a Book Project

A Researcher for a narrative, non-profit book project seeking to profile American female veterans who were wounded in combat. Project leader is Ron Farina, a former marine and Vietnam vet. The aim is to illuminate the stories of women who lost limbs, suffered TBI and/or sense loss in the line of duty, their reasons for enlisting, the unique challenges these vets face, and their journeys of recovery, adaptation, and return to civilian life (or service).
