An update on the Health Sciences Academy
In 2017, Union County Public Schools and Atrium Health Union collaborated to develop the Health Sciences Academy at Monroe Middle.

A first of its kind in Union County, the academy has expanded college and career interests for students, increased student engagement and broadened learning opportunities for teachers.

Venus Street was the home to the UCPS Transportation Department for 40 years. Now, thanks to the 2016 bond, the district recently opened a new facility on Goldmine Road.
