Good morning, CCDS Families,
Yesterday marked our first official day of distance learning and it was such a joyful day! Thank you for navigating technology and new routines - it was a pleasure to reconnect with students!
Many of you have inquired, and it is confirmed by
press release from BCOE
this morning, that all Butte County Schools will
continue with Distance Learning through at least May 1st.
The press release from BCOE is in alignment with the president's recommendation that we continue social distancing through the end of April. We are navigating a lot of uncertainty at this time, and through it all, CCDS will continue to stay focused on student connections and support.
Colly and I will be hosting a Coffee with Admin zoom call to help connect with you all and hear your questions. We will host one session on Friday morning and an additional session on Monday afternoon. Please
RSVP here
to receive the link for the meeting of your choice.
In addition to the announcement of the extended time for distance learning, our PTP and administrative team have determined that we will need to postpone our May 2020 Auction for Excellence and reschedule for May 2021. The Auction Committee has already done tremendous work for this event - thank you very much! This fundraiser directly supports our school field trips, so we will work together to help support those for the 2020-2021 school year.
Thank you all and please continue to take care of yourselves. We miss seeing you all in person and send our best to you all.
Warmly,
Wendy
