9th Annual Global One Health Summer Institute Updates

Over 1,000 individuals from 45 countries have participated in virtual Global One Health Summer Institute so far. The 9th annual institute is distinctive for setting high marks in the variety of trainings (workshops, modules, panel discussions and webinars), the number of collaborating organizations, the number of countries represented and the number of participants. This year’s institute consists of 40 total sessions including 22 internal medicine webinars from Wexner Medical Center which occur from August 4-26. The GOHi team hosted an additional genomics course in partnership our global partners.

GOHi collaborator, Nicole Kraft, is the recipient of prestigious award

Nicole Kraft, associate professor in the School of Communication at Ohio State, was honored with the Outstanding Woman in Journalism and Mass Communication Education Award from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. The award recognizes a woman who has represented women well through personal excellence and high standards in journalism and mass communication education. Kraft's focus in teaching and research has been utilizing iPads and iTunes U to “flip” journalism classrooms and provide a self-contained learning environment for multimedia journalism.
