Welcome to our new 2021-22 FC Richmond Junior Board! The Junior Board is made up of high school players who help us live out our motto, “Beyond the Game” by making a difference in our club and community. Our new members include Nadine Greer, Natalie Troupe, Olivia McCall, Maggie Bothwell, Jenelle O'Neill, Connor Riley, Patrick Forsythe, Ryder Barribeau and Lilly Bathany. Welcome back to former members Abbey Horvath, Kendall Baly, Erika Johnson, Colin Flood, Sam Escorcia, Dylan Overstreet and Nate Broughton. We look forward to all of the great work you will do this year! |

The FC Richmond Junior Board will host a special free event for recreational players ages 6-10. Fun Fit Friday will focus on learning how to live an active, healthy lifestyle while having fun! Players will rotate through six stations where they are challenged to complete relay races, obstacle courses, yoga, ball skills and more! Spots are limited! Join the fun and sign-up HERE.

October 6th was National Coaches Day and we would like to say a very special thank you to our wonderful coaches! We are grateful for their dedication, time and commitment to helping our players grow both on and off the field! On October 15th, we will have a special appreciation day for our volunteer recreational coaches! Coaches, please make sure you stop by the appreciation table at Robious Middle School from 9am-1pm for delicious treats and a chance to win prizes! |

Did you know that our U9 & U10 travel program, formerly known as PDP (Player Development Program), is now called the Futures Program? The Futures program is designed to introduce and transition players to competitive soccer. U9 & U10 Magic and Mystx Futures players compete in the Advanced Development Soccer League (ADSL), a local league featuring Richmond based clubs. Training is specialized with a focus on agility soccer movements, ball mastery techniques, team building fundamentals and a variety of small sided games in a FUN, energetic environment. Players are selected from a tryout process in April/May. We believe the future is bright with these young players!

Travel News
- ZoomReports will be coming out in early November for all U9-U14 players, so keep an eye out for it. These player evaluations will come from your coach through ZoomReports to the primary email on your Sports Connect registration account. This is a valuable tool that allows FCR Directors and coaches to monitor each players' progress from U9 through U14.
- Watch soccer!! There are some great games on right now including World Cup qualifiers, Champions League, English Premier League and MLS.
- Continue taking responsibility for your technical improvement and focus. Juggle every chance you get! 10-20 minutes a day will make a difference!
- Please continue to be vigilant with your social distancing, washing hands and using hand sanitizer. If you must carpool, wear masks while in the car to play it safe!
