EUMC MISSIONS Update - February 18, 2021

MISSIONS 2021 UPDATE!
HEY EPIPHANY! Let's talk MISSIONS!

1) LEADERS NEEDED!!!!! I am in need of some people to volunteer to take on some ministries. First of all, we need a leader for our Goshen ministries. I have a job description of what we have been involved with if you would like to see it. Just shoot me an email. Second, we need a point person for the Prince of Peace ministry. Once a month we had volunteers go down to Prince of Peace and serve breakfast to the homeless. They are currently serving to-go meals outside taking many precautions to keep volunteers safe. If we can find a leader to take this on they are ready for us!

 2) I am board with our logo "Missions is Our Thing". It is time to break out a new logo! Give me your ideas or creations! Let's come up with something to get excited about! I have gotten 2 submissions so far. I would like to see 2 or 3 more.

3) We have a date for SUPER SERVICE SATURDAY!!!! Put May 8th on your calendar. At this moment, we are committed to two things. We will decide at the end of February what else we would like to add to this day as we should have a better understanding how the vaccination process is rolling out. But here are the 2 things so far:

4) World Vision 6K: We will host a GLOBAL 6K FOR WATER to support the ministry of WorldVision. Location and sign up will be coming soon but first I would like to see if there may be some who would be willing to lead this effort! Contact me and let me know.

5) Our wonderful Jane Lee is our church representative for the New Life Furniture ministry. We are going going to set up a Pack-A-Truck event where we fill up a truck with our used furniture! So I am giving you time to prepare for this! With all this pandemic/social distancing/isolationism we have been going through, I am sure some of your mattresses and furniture have been used! As we look to Super Service Saturday and the glorious Spring weather, start thinking now about what you would like to replace in your home! Once we get to May 8th, bring up all that used furniture, mattresses, end tables, desks, etc. and donate it all for a really great ministry!
