National Pink Day
is observed on June 23 every year!
Pink symbolizes youth, good health & playfulness. It’s the flush of first love & today stands for nurturing femininity.
FUN FACTS...
While the color pink has been referenced since the Middle Ages, the word Pink was first used to refer to the color in the 1600's after a Dutch flower named the Pinken.
Interestingly enough, different shades of
pink can have a distinct effect on the brain.
For example, softer pinks are known to be calming & soothing, while brighter pinks
(in boxes or plates) are thought to make
pastries taste better & look more appetizing.
Mmmm, pass the donuts!
