Crosstown Connection Feb 13-19
We have the cure for the winter humdrums...
Ready for some February Fun? Join us for Crosstown Feud. This will be a virtual trivia battle, welcoming all ages! All you need is a device to Zoom in with.
Tell me something many people do just once a week.
Each person, or family, will work with a team to answer random trivia questions. The team with the highest points at the end of the night will win a prize from our local Tom's Popcorn shop. RSVP here.
Questions, contact Polly.
The season of Lent is fast approaching. Like Advent, we have put together Lent bags for you. Bags contain ashes for self-imposition, palm branches, a devotion from Henri Nouwen's writings, and other treats. If you would like to receive a bag you need to raise your virtual hand with this form or contact Kristi.
Ash Wednesday- Feb 17
There will be two options to participate in Ash Wednesday this year. We will offer our traditional evening service at 7:00pm in person and on YouTube live.
Ashes are included in your Lent Bags and will be available for in-person worshipers.
..... 50 Days with Jesus .....
The seventh Chosen episode we will look at is "Invitations." Watch Jesus' interactions with two detached members of society. This episode portrays the iconic conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. It's an honest question: "How can I enter into my mother's womb again to be born a second time?!" We also witness the calling of "scum" to be a disciple as Jesus calls a tax collector to follow him. This episode is based on the following Scripture passage: Matthew 9:9-13. Watch all the episodes and Sunday sermons on our YouTube channel or on our website, or join us in person.
IF: Gathering 2021
Calling all the ladies! Join us in person or online March 5th & 6th for IF Gathering. This is a virtual conference with more than 30 different speakers, breakout sessions, worship, and inspiration. Please RSVP here to join the Crosstown Local group.
Two hundred people have now downloaded our Crosstown app! Have you?
All members of Crosstown have two homes, one that we sleep in every night and the Lord's house in the shape of Crosstown Covenant Church. The Properties Commission is responsible for the care and maintenance of all church buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Our church grounds are the first impression visitors have of our church and it has the potential to bless our neighbors all year-round. We don’t have a team of gardeners on our staff, but still want our beloved church grounds to look cared after.
As spring approaches we are looking for volunteers to:
  • Adopt a flower bed (clean and weed an area throughout the season). This could be done by a family, an individual, a small group, anyone!
  • Complete a one-time trimming of some shrubs or trees on the property.
  • Plan to help on one Saturday in May or early June to do a spring cleanup of all the grounds.
