Although California school districts already published financial expenditures at the school level on the School Accountability Report Cards, ESSA has its own required format.
Specifically, as required by ESSA, the LEAs must report the per-pupil expenditures of federal, state, and local funds for each LEA and each school in the State for the preceding fiscal year. LEAs will report PPE data for the 2018/2019 school year via a web-based application by February 28, 2020.
