Hello Riverfront Playhouse community.
I hope that you are well and staying safe and healthy during this unusual time. The health pandemic has changed many aspects of our daily lives, both financially and personally. We at Riverfront Playhouse share your concern about uncertainty for the future and extend our condolences to those who are suffering from the Covid-19 virus intrusion in your lives.
The renovation of the new theatre has been completed and we should have our Permit of Occupancy from the City of Redding within a few days. The staff at Don Ajamian Construction working with our building committee chair Larry Morgon and RP staff have done a remarkable job of putting the finishing touches on the building. The exterior paint and landscaping at the front of the building is now in process and will fully complete the building inside and out.
We are awaiting authorization by the state/county to open for live theatre presentations. Many changes and adjustments have been made to our 2020 Season which in effect cancelled the shows. The Artistic Committee is working hard to prepare for the 2021 season. We will let you know what our season will be as it develops.
The loss of revenue has been a challenge to our planning and budgeting for the rest of the year. However, we will be using the building for alternate uses to produce some income to see us through. You can help by renewing your membership at a level comfortable to you. We are still offering a limited number of naming opportunities for seats in the auditorium. There are gold and silver seats available. Our customized message bricks for placement in our patio area are also available. You can order them on our website at www.riverfrontplayhouse.net.
We hope to see you soon at our new and improved Riverfront Playhouse location and look forward to entertaining you in this beautiful new state-of-the-art community theatre!
