As I look at our CNYAMT calendar of events, I am amazed at what our organization has been able to accomplish this year. Without our dedicated Teachers, Event Chairs, Committee Members, Sponsors, Underwriters, Board of Directors, and our Staff, none of these events would have been possible.

April 16: Instrumental Competition

Baroque, Classical, & Sonatina Piano Festival

CNYAMT held the annual piano festival March 20th with 6 studios participating:
Patricia DeAngelis, Bernadette Kessler, Lynn Moroz, Ida Trebicka, James Vatter, and Mary Whittington.

Congratulations to the 35 students who performed for Jacob Ertl of Nazareth College, a total of 47 pieces receiving High Honor and Honor ratings. Special thanks to Jo Beth Dellinger of Artist Pianos in East Syracuse for hosting the festival, and Co-Chairs James Vatter and Lynn Moroz for a very successful event.

CNYAMT High School Vocal Competition
The CNYAMT High School Vocal Competition is an invaluable experience for aspiring singers, plus constructive comments from top-notch judges and prizes in each grade level, also good for your college applications! Those winning in the 12th grade category may be invited to become a Rising Star for Cazenovia Counterpoint, which means singing a group of your favorite classics, in addition to having a short work by a young composer written to premiere, plus a performance fee.

The updated application is attached below. The deadline is April 24th.

CNYAMT Community Outreach Virtual Spring Recital

Due to the huge success of our virtual Valentine's Day recital, we are planning a spring virtual recital! This time we hope to extend our recital to more senior living environments in the Syracuse area.

Our theme for this recital is "Popular Music from the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's!" Please see the attachment for complete details and guidelines. Participation in this video recital will be counted as a CNYAMT event towards scholarships and awards. I'm sure this will be another fantastic performance that the residents will be talking about for many days after.
