The Chamber's core mission is to improve the local economy and jobs. A major barrier has been housing for the workforce, and even though progress is being made in this area, an option for commuter rail has always been proposed as part of the solution. The Chamber is pleased to announce a new early morning Pacific Surfliner train will be running from Los Angeles and Ventura counties to Santa Barbara and Goleta. Service is planned to begin on April 2, 2018. When combined with existing southbound Pacific Surfliner service in the afternoon, the new morning train will make it possible to travel to work in Santa Barbara county via rail.

This new Commuter Rail offers a number of exciting benefits:
  • FREE Trial-Passes in April
  • Discounted 10-ride and monthly passes
  • Bikes & Lockers
For the past 10 years the Chamber has worked with the City of Goleta to bring you a State of the City presentation featuring rich and detailed content that business needs to know. This very popular event is a who's who in Goleta with great networking, delicious lunch and photo opportunities with your business or group. For more information, contact [email protected]
Southern California Edison (SCE) is proposing to develop renewable energy and energy storage projects in Southern Santa Barbara County and Ventura County.

Businesses, local governments, and property managers have the opportunity to host solar or energy storage projects through an upcoming solicitation from SCE. By participating, site owners can significantly reduce energy costs, while also earning additional revenue by selling energy and other related services directly to the utility.
