You will see that we have included technology-based activities as well as traditional, (non-technology) types of activities. We all know there is no substitute to reading a good book! Families without email access will be receiving this letter through the mail.
In the event that we are closed for longer than two weeks, we are also working on a more in-depth continuity of instruction plan that will guide us in continuing our students’ learning through a distance-learning model. If this should happen, please know that we will be prepared to support all of our students in accessing their learning in effective ways to help all of our students succeed.
We appreciate the strong partnership we have with our parents and caregivers. We appreciate everything you are doing to keep children across NISD safe and healthy. We also appreciate the support, encouragement, and communication you are showing to our teachers and staff. Together, we will stay strong and continue to take care of our students. As always, in NISD...kids come first!
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael Griffin
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
