A Place to Grow is a five star child care center that operates under a non-profit organization, ComServ, Inc. and is also a United Way Partner Agency in Lincolnton.
A Place to Grow has operated in the community for well over 25 years providing services to children. They have two classrooms, one serving 1 and 2 year old toddlers and the other serving 4 and 5 year old NC PreK Program students. They are an inclusive program that specializes in serving children “at risk” and with developmental delays. Children with developmental delays learn alongside of children who are typically developing. Children who are typically developing also learn the importance of respect for differences, compassion and acceptance.
A Place to Grow provides enhanced ratios and enhanced space. This means that ratios are smaller than most other child care centers and children receive more one to one care. The services that we currently provide are Community Based Rehabilitative Services for children under the age of three who have qualified for services through the Children’s Developmental Service Agency, NC PreK classrooms for children who are four and five and also daycare services. In addition we accept DSS vouchers.
A Place to Grow is very grateful for the support of the community during these unprecedented times and we are proud to say that we have reopened our doors since being closed since Mid- March 2020. They currently have availability in both classrooms, so if your children or others need a place to learn and grow, keep A Place to Grow in mind. They provide in house field trip experiences and we encourage parent participation in our events. They've grown to provide remote learning experiences along with family engagement opportunities.
Thank You for supporting the United Way of Lincoln County and A Place to Grow!
