Dear Friends in Christ,
"We are all in this together."
This statement is truly accurate. Our Bishop has shared guidelines for all parishes to follow for
the foreseeable future. His messages can be read on our FaceBook page or our website.
The most important announcement I have for you is we will broadcast the services of Morning
Prayer on Sundays at 10:30 am and Noonday Prayer at 12:00 pm on Wednesdays with parish announcements, and Evening
Prayer on Thursdays at 7:00 pm during the week. These broadcasts can be accessed through the parish FaceBook page
using Face Book Live.
You do not have to be a member of Face
Book to access the live stream.
The suspension of public worship will likely continue through Holy Week and perhaps beyond. It
is still uncertain when we will be able to resume public worship. I know this is not welcome news but it
is the best action to curb the spread of COVID-19 and protect the most vulnerable among us.
Zoom
We are planning to use Zoom, a live audio/video meeting format, to conduct parish meetings.
Please let me know if you would like to use the technology for any of your meetings. Individual ministry
leaders can use Zoom free for up to 40 minutes and include several people in
the meeting. Adapting to new technology can be frustrating, but the folks at Zoom have put together an
instructional video
that explains how to use the technology. Other videos explaining how to use Zoom can be found by clicking here.
Pledges
Please consider dropping your weekly pledge by the office.
The office will be open Tuesday through Friday. If my beat-up Chevy is in the parking lot, I am most likely in the
church. You can also mail your pledge to the church at
1433 NW R.D. Mize Rd;
Blue Springs, MO 64015.
To reiterate, we honestly do not know how long we will be unable to use our physical space for worship. We
still need your financial support to maintain our facility and pay the bills. Thank you so much for your generous support!
Please view our website under the Giving tab for information, contact our Treasurer or go to your bank's website and use their bill payment service to send
money directly to the church.
Prayer for Guidance from our Book of Common Prayer (p. 832)
O God, by whom the meek are guided in judgment, and
light
riseth
up in darkness for the godly: Grant us, in all
our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what
thou
wouldest
have us to do, that the Spirit of wisdom may save
us from all false choices, and that in
thy
light we may see
light, and in
thy
straight path may not stumble; through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
