Mixed Doubles and Tri-Level

Team Registration is now open!

Time to start making your tennis plans for Summer 2023!

Mixed Doubles (Co-Ed League)

A fun way for men and women to team up together. Team level combines the ratings of both the male and female partner. For example, on a 7.0 team, a 3.0 player may play with a 4.0 player. Partners may not be separated by more than 1.0 NTRP point (example: 8.0 team allows a 4.5 and 3.5 to play together, but a 5.0 and 3.0 may not play together). Each doubles line must include one man and one woman. The combined levels of each doubles pair cannot exceed the team level. Teams play 3 lines of doubles.

Important Dates:

  • April 1 - Registration Opens
  • May 15 - Deadline for teams to have a minimum roster
  • May 28 - Season Begins
  • Aug 5 - Season Ends
  • Sept 7-10 State Championships (Asheville)

Cost: $27 per player

If not enough courts are available, overflow matches may be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday.

Tri-Level League

A fun way to team up with friends who play at different NTRP levels. A team match consists of three doubles matches - one doubles match played at each of the three different NTRP levels (for example 3.0,3.5,4.0). The same-level teams will play against one another with the highest NTRP level playing line #1 and the lowest NTRP level playing line #3. Players may play at their NTRP rated level or up 0.5, but not lower than their rated level.

Important Dates:

  • April 1 - Registration Opens
  • May 15 - Deadline for teams to have a minimum roster
  • June 4 - Season Begins
  • Aug 12 - Season Ends
  • Sept 21-24 State Championships (Kinston)

Cost: $27 per player

If not enough courts are available, overflow matches may be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday.

New for 2023!

Captain's Discount

Team captains are critical to the success of our local leagues, and to show our appreciation, we are offering a $10 Discount to the first captain to register on a team. The Captain Discount is limited to one captain per team. If you plan to co-captain with another player, please discuss who should get the discount and have that person register on Tennislink as captain FIRST. The discount is managed through Tennislink and we can not make corrections if it is applied to the wrong individual.

How to set up a team

  • Gather enough players to have a minimum roster
  • Designate someone to be captain
  • Have the captain set up the team in TennisLink (click here for more info)
  • Need help setting up your team? Have the captain email Jennifer Kersey to request a team number. Be sure to include the following in your email:
