O'Hare, Midway Ready to Welcome Nearly 1.6 Million Passengers Over Busy Labor Day Travel Weekend


Strong Recovery Continues at O’Hare International Airport, With 7% Increase in Travelers Compared to Labor Day 2022


The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) is ready to welcome nearly 1.6 million travelers to O’Hare and Midway International Airports between Thursday, Aug. 31 and Tuesday, Sept. 5, based on projections from airline carriers. 

Compared to Labor Day weekend last year, O’Hare is expected to see a 7% increase in passengers. More than 245,000 travelers will make their way through O’Hare on Monday, Sept. 4, which airlines project will be the busiest day. At Midway, travel is about on par with 2022, with a modest 1% increase in passengers over last year. The busiest travel day will also be Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4., when more than 57,000 passengers will make their way through the airport.

Abnormal Security: Microsoft Tops List Of Most Impersonated Brands In Phishing Exploits


A new study found that 4.31% of phishing attacks mimicked Microsoft, far ahead of the second most-spoofed brand PayPal.


A significant portion of social engineering attacks, such as phishing, involve cloaking a metaphorical wolf in sheep’s clothing. According to a new study by Abnormal Security, which looked at brand impersonation and credential phishing trends in the first half of 2023, Microsoft was the brand most abused as camouflage in phishing exploits.

Millions More Workers Would Be Entitled To Overtime Pay Under A Proposed Biden Administration Rule


NEW YORK (AP) — The Biden administration proposed a new rule Wednesday that would make 3.6 million more U.S. workers eligible for overtime pay, the most generous such increase in decades.

The rule revives an Obama-era effort that faced pushback from business leaders and Republicans and was ultimately scuttled in court. Business groups Labor advocates and liberal lawmakers have pushed the Biden administration to take the fight back up, arguing that overtime protections have been sharply eroded over the decades by wage stagnation and inflation.
