Quick Facts
  • Hometown - Lexington
  • Education - I have a BA in English Literature from High Point University and a MA in Higher Education from Appalachian State University with a concentration in Community College and University leadership.
  • Courses - I have taught CCR classes and summer bridge programs in the past. I also really enjoyed my years working with students in the Learning Commons as a Writing Coach. I am currently the director of the Learning Commons.
  • Family - I have a 12 year old son who is taller than me now (sad sigh). He is in the 7th grade at Central Davidson Middle School. I gained two step-daughters in 2020. They are 12 and 9 years old. My husband and I enjoy spending time outside.
  • Pets - I have 3 horses, a miniature horse, 8 goats, 14 chickens, 2 cats, a dog, 4 goldfish, and a female Betta fish
  • Hobbies - Horseback riding, raising goats and chickens, beekeeping, bowling, tennis, reading, and recently learning how to use my Cricut machine

Five Things to Know
  1. Travel: Anywhere in the mountains!
  2. Music: I listen to all kinds of music. It really depends on what mood I am in. If I had to pick, then Miranda Lambert would be my favorite musician. Taylor Swift did teach me how to “shake it off” though...
  3. Food: Chicken salad on a crescent roll
  4. Movie/Streaming Show: I love to watch Ghost Hunters, Ghost Nation, and Kindred Spirits.
  5. Joyful Experience: Participating in graduation at ASU and knowing my son was there.
