Partners in the Gospel

The past few months, parishes and schools throughout the archdiocese shared information about Partners in the Gospel. This strategic pastoral planning effort is happening across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church. This opportunity will bring parishes together into an exciting new parish family structure with two or more different parishes. The proposed parish that St. Louise will form a new parish family with is St. Madeleine Sophie located in south Bellevue in Factoria. If St. Louise Parish is your home parish, we invite you to please attend one of the public input sessions that we are hosting the next two weekends. Please see the dates and times below. If you belong to another parish, please attend one of their scheduled input sessions.

We encourage everyone to get caught up on the most current information about Partners in the Gospel by following these steps:

  1. Watch the video message from Archbishop Etienne here.
  2. Watch the video "Understanding Why," from Fr. Gary Lazzaroni (Vicar General and Vicar for Strategic Planning for the Archdiocese) and Caitlin Moulding (Chief Operating Officer for the Archdiocese). You can view the video here.
  3. Read the current version of the comprehensive Q and A here.

Please participate in one of the St. Louise Parish input sessions. No registration is required. All sessions will be held in the Parish Hall.

Illness and Absences and Tardiness

As we get back to school routines and the beginning of Fall, please remind your children to sanitize or wash their hands, cover their mouths when they sneeze, and if they are not feeling well, to keep them at home. Please review the absence and tardiness policy in the handbook HERE. Thank you for adhering to our policies and keeping your children home when they are not feeling well.

The first and eighth person to answer my quiz question below will receive a Charger Card. Please make sure to email Mr. Fuerte with your answer.

Anne and in a very tangible way to financially support the Parish and School (grades 1-9).

A Message from Fr. Gary

Dear Friends at St. Louise,

I arrived back home from 10 days of vacation the night before I wrote this column. This will be short and sweet!

Sometimes a vacation is more than a vacation. That is what I experienced in these September days away.

To be truthful, I was feeling anxious about leaving at all. You recall that I had had two family funerals in late August, which took unexpected time away from the parish and school; there is more to do this year to be prepared for Partners in the Gospel; and it felt strange to take time away at the beginning of the school year. But that is the time that worked on my friend Fr. Jim Lee’s calendar, so that is what we went with.

A big welcome to our new STL Families!

"We are the Chung family, with Joshua starting 5th grade, Isabel starting 2nd Grade and their parents Winnie and John. We have been parishioners since Isabel was born and love the loving environment that St Louise brings to our family. We are avid fans of being outside (hiking, golf, soccer etc), while also spending time with our families, when possible, back in Australia. Looking forward to being part of this wonderful school community."

“Hello everyone! We are Elie and Viviana, the joyful parents of Esther (1) and Bérénice (almost 5 - in pre-K). We have recently arrived in the United States from France.

We are a French-Colombian family who spend hours having conversations about every single subject in the world but we must admit, we're not great at making small talk! (Apologies!) Our passions include prayer, cooking, playing golf, and dancing salsa!”
