Registration for Bulky-Item Curbside Pickup

Prepare to make space! Register in advance for the Fall Bulky-Item Cleanup Day's convenient curbside pickup service! Starting next week, residents can call to secure their spot for a free curbside pickup of up to three bulky items. The main clean-up event will take place on Saturday, October 7^th at the La Colonia Community Center parking lot from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Here, you'll also find mulch available for self-load/self-haul as well as certified shredding trucks on hand to shred all items on-site. Additionally, at this event you can safely dispose of unwanted electronic and universal waste items such as batteries, pesticides, lamps, and aerosol cans.

SBCC's Lecture Series Presents: Susan L. Shirk

Solana Beach Community Connections (SBCC), in partnership with the Friends of the Solana Beach Library, presents their monthly lecture series on Tuesday, September 26^th at 6:00 PM. This month's speaker is Susan L. Shirk, Professor Emerita from UCSD, an expert in non-governmental conflict resolution and the head of the Northeast Asia Cooperation Dialogue. The event is free and will be held at the Solana Beach Library, 157 Stevens Avenue. Special transportation assistance for seniors is available with advance notice.

City Hall Gallery Call for Artists

Attention artists! The City of Solana Beach and the Public Arts Commission invite you to submit proposals for the 2024 City Hall Gallery exhibitions. We're on the lookout for captivating individual or group art and educational exhibitions to be featured throughout the year. With six exhibitions planned, each spanning 8 weeks, here's your opportunity to make a lasting impression on the vibrant Solana Beach art scene.
