Did you know that August is National Make-A-Will Month? Did you also know that only one-third of Americans currently have a will? Without a will, state law dictates who receives your house, savings, and other assets, instead of you directing how your final wishes are carried out. A will is important, regardless of the size of your estate.

Your will can also establish a legacy by supporting the causes close to your heart, including Challenge Air. In 2019, one of our long-time volunteer pilots unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. Because he designated a gift to Challenge Air, we were able to keep our doors open during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and provide virtual Fly Days to our special co-pilots until it was safe to fly again. By planning ahead, his gift ensured that Challenge Air could expand its reach and impact, even when in-person aviation experiences were put on hold.

If you've already included Challenge Air in your will, please let us know so we can express our appreciation. If you do not have a will, I encourage you to create one and consider naming Challenge Air as a beneficiary. By planning now, your gift could make all the difference in keeping the mission of Challenge Air alive and thriving!

Last year, over 3,249 organizations raised $63.9 million, and this year, we aim to raise $50,000 to build confidence in children with special needs through the joy of flight. Your support helps us empower these young heroes, proving that the sky is just the beginning. Let's make dreams soar together!

Spreading Awareness in OshKosh

Exploring AirVenture with Trustee Carl Corns, Pilot Jerry Hill, and Executive Director April Culver!

With a record-breaking 686,000 attendees and over 16,000 aircraft operations, the AirVenture Show in Oshkosh was the perfect platform to spread awareness of Challenge Air for Kids and Friends.

Our team connected with aviation enthusiasts and shared our mission to empower children with special needs through the gift of flight. It was an inspiring experience, and we're excited to continue reaching new heights!

Raising Paddles and Funds in Kansas City!

The Challenge Air pickleball tournament at Chicken N Pickle in Kansas City was a great success.

We had 13 teams participate and raised over $8,000 for the Kansas City Fly Day on September 7th.

Sept 14th: Registration for the 12th Annual FREE Access-Life Expo in North Texas is Open!

Only 1 in 10 people affected by disability attend church so Access-Life designed FREE community outreach events to provide a time of Christ centered encouragement, support and fun for individuals and families living with disabilities. These events feature boat rides, bank fishing, kayaking, archery, crafts, games, food and other activities that are executed by area churches, organizations and volunteers.
