MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

This past weekend I shared the state of our parish at all of the masses. Our St. Patrick community of faith demonstrates our faith every day in the good works we are doing, which God has prepared for us to do! We are also facing some financial challenges. Please review the accountability report you should have received by mail, as well as, my homily on YouTube for this past weekend if you missed it. We are asking each of our parish families to prayerfully consider a 20% increase to their current stewardship commitment and/or a one time gift to help us meet our needs until we can enter an intentional process during our annual stewardship renewal process in the spring. You can adjust your online giving by logging into Pushpay HERE. You can also make a one time gift through Pushpay or by check. Thank for your prayers and generous response!

Our Disciples for Life ministry has been developing new content for our website to provide you with resources that address issues and questions at every stage of life from conception, through birth, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. As we prepare for the 40 Days for Life prayer campaign that begins on September 25 and runs through November 3, representatives will be handing out cards this weekend to encourage you to pray for four minutes a day during the 40 days of the campaign. The value and dignity of every individual human being is foundational to Catholic Social Teaching and our actions to serve those in need. Thanks for their leadership and efforts.

As a reminder, I will never send you an email or a text message soliciting gift cards or money. These phishing scams have gotten more sophisticated in recent years, but they are all scams that undermine trust and cause harm. If you receive such message, do not respond or provide any personal information. Thanks.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make his face shine upon you and give you peace!

Fr. Jeff

Our ministry has partnered with New Directions Housing Corp. for many years now. They take requests from low income, disabled, and elderly folks who need help in keeping their homes safe, secure and functional. If you can clean gutters, paint, scrap and caulk or change a light fixture, you have the skills we need. We also welcome middle school and young adults to participate.
