2022-23 School Theme: 60 Years - A Tradition of Excellence

On Friday, March 10, our Upper School students will experience a full morning of outstanding speakers during our Character & Opportunity seminar. Keynote speakers, Yeonmi Park and Fr. Robert Sirico, will address all of our scholars. Then students will attend breakout sessions on specific topics, including liberty, entrepreneurship, the free market, and virtue. The small group sessions will be led by an impressive array of speakers and experts, including Mike Malatesta, Linda Hansen, Scott Niederjohn, Daniel Sem, and several others.
Brookfield Academy works toward guiding students to pursue truth and goodness so that they can flourish and help others to do the same. We are thrilled to provide time for them to hear big ideas, reflect on them for themselves, and support them as they form their own perspectives.
In pursuit of living our Mission, Brookfield Academy pledges to embrace fully and without reservation the values represented by the Five Stars - Intellect, Heritage, Character, Truth, and Individuality. In addition to the values our school emphasizes daily, events like the Character & Opportunity seminar demonstrate the Five Stars and our Mission in action. It will be a day of powerful and varied content; opportunities for thoughtful questions; and learning from skilled, informed presenters in a great format. The hope is to provide an opportunity for students to expand their individual insights.
Increasing knowledge, whether at daily assembly, in the classroom, or at this seminar, is an exciting way to send our students into the 2023 Spring Break!
